Blended Learning
http://blog.lambdasolutions.net/blended-learning-outperforms-non-blended-classrooms

Blended learning comes from two words blended and learning, it means combine or mix learning technique between face to face and modern technology (internet, virtual media, computer). Blended learning is a fairly new approach in education that ‘blends’ technology into the teaching and learning process. Combining personalized online learning with face-to-face classroom learning, blended learning allows students to learn at their own pace, at their own ability level and with focus towards what interests them most. (http://blog.lambdasolutions.net/blended-learning-outperforms-non-blended-classrooms accessed on Wednesday, 29/04/2015, 07:54)
In modern times is simply pointing students to a computer and expecting them to learn in both cases instructor and students end up with less than ideal results good classroom. Teachers are always split their methods, such as  reading, writing, lectures, discussions in small group and projects in few are all part of an effective blended classroom. These very instructional strategies are combination of different modes of delivery and different styles. Instruction understanding that using the right tool in the right situation for the right purpose should be a guide instructional design principle with the advances in technology two days blended learning approach effectively. Combines two things that make each other more powerful.
Through blended learning we can make our student more interest in the learning activity.

E-Learning

E-learning is electronic learning, and typically this means using a computer to deliver part, or all of a course whether it's in a school, part of your mandatory business training or a full distance learning course. (http://www.virtual-college.co.uk/elearning/elearning.aspx accessed on Tuesday 21/04/2015, 9:47). The e-learning is learning supported by the implementation of technology services such as telephone, audio, vidiotape, satellite transmission or computer.
E-learning or electronic learning is now become a way to overcome the problem of education. E-learning can make learner more interest in something that they want to learn. E-learning can be applied for all levels of schooling from grade school to graduate degrees, and is enough to accommodate all learning styles. In the past, teaching and learning process is dominated by the role of teachers called "the era of teacher", while students only hear the explanation of teachers. Then, the process of learning and teaching is dominated by the role of teachers and books (the era of teacher and book) and the current teaching and learning process is dominated by the role of teachers, books and technology (the era of teacher, book and technology).
In other hand, e-teaching is has many problems. For instance, when it is applied in the marginal school with the lack of facility that support their learning process it will very difficult to access the media. It will be more difficult to applying this method in the learning process when the teacher has no ability to use or operate e-learning as the learning method.

It should be any sincronization between the teacher’s ability with the learning method, especially e-learning.

ICT TOOLS, ROLES, AND APPLICATIONS in education

http://manifest0.deviantart.com/art/my-best-friend

Nowadays  ICT has been an important part of human beings. We almost use ICT in every single activities especially in educational activity. Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) content in English enables students to develop and apply skills, knowledge and understanding of ICT in their composing, responding and presenting, and as part of the imaginative and critical thinking they undertake in English. The ICT content has been incorporated into the content of this syllabus to ensure that all students have the opportunity to become competent, discriminating and creative users of ICT and are better able to demonstrate the syllabus outcomes of English through the effective use of ICT.

In their study of English, students are able to apply their existing knowledge of word processing, multimedia, ways of formatting and presenting texts, simulation software, graphics and electronic communication and further develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of these technologies. They learn about the ethics of information communication through technology.
Educational ICT tools can be divided into 3 categories: Input source, Output source and Others. Input source for example: visualiser/ document camera, PC, tablet, aplication software. Output source for example: projector, interactive white board, printer, and monitor.
The roles of ICT in education are, through ICT, images can easily be used in teaching and improving the retentive memory of students, teacher can easily explain complex instructions and ensure students’ comprehension. And teachers are able to create interactive classes and make the lessons more enjoyable, which could improve student attendance and concentration.

COMPUTER-ASSISTED LANGUAGE LEARNING

Computer-Assisted Language Learning or CALL is a concept in language education. CALL is essentially a tool that helps teachers to facilitate the language learning process.
It can be used to reinforce what has been already learned in the classroom or to help learners who require additional support.
Beatty (2003) defines CALL as ‘any process in which a learner uses a computer, and as a result, improves his or her language’.

the main aim of CALL is to find ways for using computers for the purpose of teaching and learning the language. CALL is including word processing, presentation packages, guided drill and practice, tutor simulation, problem solving, games ect. CALL can be categorized in terms of three somewhat distinct phases which I will refer to as behavioristic CALL, communicative CALL, and integrative CALL (cf. Barson & Debski 1996). Behaviorist theories of learning entailed repetitive language drills and can be referred to as "drill and practice". In other words the computer serves as a vehicle for delivering instructional materials to the student. The second phase of CALL was based on the communicative approach to teaching which became prominent in the 1970s and 80s. Proponents of this approach felt that the drill and practice programs of the previous decade did not allow enough authentic communication to be of much value.
The history of CALL suggests that the computer can serve a variety of uses for language teaching. It can be a tutor which offers language drills or skill practice; a stimulus for discussion and interaction; or a tool for writing and research. With the advent of the Internet, it can also be a medium of global communication and a source of limitless authentic materials.
By using the CALL , teacher can teach more interactively and atractively. But the teacher have to be able to operate the computer, because CALL is the computer assisted language learning.

Kota Sejuta Wajah
Sungguh ironi........
